The Ball Cap
A couple of decades ago, I was in the check-out line of a local supermarket
wearing a ball cap with the words “I’m not arrogant, I’m just smarter than you”
stitched into it. Someone, I did not
know this person, punched me in the shoulder and said, ”So, you think you’re
smarter than ME? I’ll take you out to
the parking lot and show who’s smarter!”
“Dude, it’s just a hat,” I said.
Still he insisted right until the store manager intervened. The man was so angry that I removed the cap
and have not worn it in public since…..
